“What are you doing?”
Carrie paused, looking up from the cooking pot. “Boiling potatoes, obviously.”
Ted blinked. Carrie raised an eyebrow. Ted frowned. “On top of the car?”
Carrie turned back to the pot, tapping the wooden spoon on the lip of the metal contraption. Ted rubbed his hands together before tucking them under his armpits, not quite sure what to think as Carrie whacked the spoon on the pan once again. The frozen water didn’t budge. Ted sighed.
“Because you can’t boil anything on a frozen car, Carrie. That’s why.”
