Proceed With Caution

Take a moment to rethink
About logic and insanity
Caught on the ice rink.

Pamper the darkness
Let it slowly grow
For when night comes
You’ll depend on the moon’s heavenly glow.

But beware of Pride
And keep your eye on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
The three together is the lovechild
Of a nightmare’s most infamous ride.

So proceed with caution
And remember the price
Because all things come and go
And there’s nowhere left to hide.

We all face the same moment
When our choices will unveil
Through the fire and hail
If we shall live or die
Or simply survive.

Then I’d say I was successful with that poem! Any writer knows that their work is supposed to make someone stop and think or to inspire some kind of emotion in them. It’s good to hear from you.

Why, thank you! I certainly try my best. I’d say we both accomplish that much. You have the witty humor, I have the stories. One area isn’t complete without the other!
