Mill’era Farm!

Homework, dogs, college, work, and video games.
These are all such simple, important things!
Near Or Far, I Love Them All,
Dancing Madly,
Don’t Fall!

The year is ending and we’re all moving onto new and better things. I have been part of WordPress for a little over a year now, though I have only been a paid member of the sight for six or seven months. In the time I’ve been here, I have gathered a small group of followers (98, as of right now – and you’re all amazing) and have written over a hundred posts. That’s impressive, as far as I’m concerned. I wasn’t all that sure where I’d be going.

College will be starting up again in a few days. I’m going to have so much homework to do that it’s going to be insane! I have Accounting again. This time I’m determined to pass with something that isn’t an ‘F.’ Anything math-related isn’t a strong point for me.

My dogs are getting older every day. Tony, my mini-pin, is about ten years old. His chin is turning gray and he hates running during our walks these days. He’d rather amble along behind me or at my side. Still tries to eat anyone he doesn’t know, though. Dova, my chuwawa and mini-pin mix, is as firece as ever. Cuddles with me every night!

Work’s going. As an In-Home Care Aide, I take care of other people and their homes. It’s not a glamours job, certainily, but it is a rewarding one (when my clients let me inside, as a few of them have picked up a habit of locking me out in the cold). I work on during the weekends because of school, and, while my hours vary, I often find myself with new clients. Who I work for is likely to change, day-to-day.

And now there’s my favorite thing: video games!

Gods, this is what I’m so excited about. For years I’ve watched others play video games on YouTube, laughing at their antics or cringing away from the messes they get into. A small part of me always wanted to be part of that crowd. Now I am, I’m happy to say.

I’m playing Stardew Valley! I’m recording the game and I posted the first episode in the series, Welcome To Mill’era Farm. I haven’t been on YouTube for a long time, not even a year really. Well, it has been a year, but I haven’t really put anything on there worth watching. Until now. Now my own YouTube Channel has something on it (that will grow) that I’m excited about!

Granted, I know I’m not going to get much of a following from playing a farming game…

but I don’t care! I’m excited to have it up there, for something I played to be live on the Internet where other people can see it. I’ve wanted to do this for so long, now. Frankly, Stardew Valley is the only game I can play. My laptop doesn’t really let me play anything else because it wasn’t designed for gaming. It’s a cheap, stupid machine.

I’m happy; I’m not an extravagant person, but I do hope I can get further in both my writing and my ability to be a gamer one of these days. Maybe I’ll have a few dozen followers on there, in a few months, who sit around for twenty or thirty minutes to watch a little character I designed plant and harvest crops. Take care of chickens. The music is lovely, too. If I had the soundtrack, I’d listen to it as I go to sleep (Brady does that, who is a friend who also has a Let’s Play of Stardew Valley).

This isn’t a typical post for me.

All of us can see that. However, I also wanted to share the good news and the thing that has me so very happy when I’m normally in a more, depressive mood. Share the good, spread it around, and encourage it! Happy people help make a happy world! I think I’ll make that a slogan of some sort. Put it on a T-shirt one of these days.

Gods, I have a lot of ‘one of these days,’ don’t I?

Eh, who cares?

It’s not a matter of graduation. It’s a matter of dedication and hard work and sacrifice. That, and learning how to save money! I think I’ll simply try and upload a video every day. That way I have some content on YouTube! And I can’t wait to build Mill’era Farm. It’s going to be a blast!
