The Odd and the Unusual
If any of you are like me, when you find something funny – you want to share it with everyone. It doesn’t matter who that ‘everyone’ is. All you know is that you have seen, or heard, something so funny that not sharing it would be a crime. In this manner, I am the same as the rest of you. When I find something that makes me laugh, I want to share it because laughter isn’t something I do all that often.
It’s hard to find anything to laugh at (unless Markiplier’s involved), and generally I’m what I’d call “gently, not-laughing” amused. So when I came across this video on FaceBook, and then hunted it down on YouTube (and after upgrading my account so I could put videos on here), I knew I had to share this video.
For those of you who haven’t seen the video, you’re likely as puzzled and ‘WTF?’ as I was when I first watched this video. When the video first opens, it looks like the typical choir of young boys in some unnamed, unknown church. Then the first boy opens his mouth, and everyone can’t help but laugh – because it wasn’t what we were expecting.
Whenever I’m feeling a bit depressed, I hunt down these videos. I have plenty of them in my ‘Liked Videos’ on my YouTube channel. I have them there for the sole purpose of cheering me up when I’m depressed and feeling a burst of ‘self-hatred,’ as my sister likes to put it. Happens more often these days, much to my dismay.
What can I say? Life sucked in 2017. I’m hoping 2018 is better.
I’m a cat fan, FYI. I have two cats at home, Jaeger (whom you’ve all seen) and a pretty gray kitty by the name of Gracy. She’s a bit anti-social, but she’s loveable…when she lets you love on her. The “Cat Choir,” as I like to call the video above, makes me think about two cats discussing the horrors/sorrows of their life. Then I think of Tom Riddle and Abraxas Malfoy from Harry Potter because the two boys in this look like they could be their actors, if they ever played in a Harry Potter film.
Which generally brings another bought of uncontrolled laughter. I have an odd mind, I know. No need to point that out to me. Granted, I know it’s been some time since I’ve put anything up here, but there’s not much I can do since I don’t have my own computer anymore. My laptop died. Or maybe I killed it in a fit of rage because it was lagging and slow and cheap. Moral of that story – with computers, you get what you buy.
Hence funny cat videos and boys in a church choir singing like their cats.
With that said, here’s another one for you that’s just as funny (if not more so) than choir boys sounding like cats. This one is dedicated to all you parents who have reached your wits-end. The video below makes me think of my sister and her five kids (all eight and under) and likely what goes through her head often enough.
With this, I shall conclude this post and hope all is well wherever you are in the world.
So, without further ado, I bid thee farewell!
